- Account & identity: name, gender, date of birth, contact number, email address, photographs, and identity verification documents.
- Profile & preferences: family background, education, occupation, income range, religious and community details, partner preferences.
- Usage data: log data, device information, IP address, app interactions, and matchmaking activity.
- Communications: messages exchanged with our matchmaking executives and (where applicable) other members.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) operate and improve the Platform; (b) verify your identity and the authenticity of your profile; (c) suggest relevant matches and personalize your experience; (d) facilitate communication with your matchmaker and prospective matches; (e) process payments; (f) comply with legal obligations; (g) prevent fraud and abuse.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only:
- With other members of the Platform, as part of the matchmaking process, and only to the extent you choose to make it visible.
- With trusted service providers (e.g., payment processors, cloud hosting, SMS/email gateways) under strict confidentiality.
- When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our members.
4. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable laws, you have the right to: (a) access the personal data we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request erasure of your data, subject to legal exceptions; (d) withdraw consent at any time; (e) lodge a grievance with our Data Protection Officer.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Platform's services and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
6. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data — including encryption in transit, restricted internal access, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Photo Privacy
By default, your profile photographs are visible in blurred form to other members. You control when and to whom to reveal them. This is a deliberate design choice to protect your visual identity until you're ready to share it.
8. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and analyze how the Platform is used. You can control cookie behaviour through your browser settings.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
